Our trip to Stockade Hill

On Thursday the 20th April we walked up to Stockade Hill in Howick to look at the ANZAC display and memorial to remember and pay our respects to those soldiers who lost their lives in the War.

We took time to view the names and soldiers faces on the crosses who fought for the freedom of our country.

We enjoyed some afternoon-tea up by the monument of fruit and some delicious ANZAC biscuits which the children had baked that morning.

We thoroughly enjoyed our walk to Stockade hill and remembering those soldiers who
lost their lives in battle.

Lest we forget xx

Phoenix House Easter Egg Hunt

3...2...1... GO!!!
The Phoenix House children raced off all around the room looking for Chocolate Easter eggs that the Easter Bunny had hidden for all the boys and girls to find.
They searched high, and they searched low but managed to find ALL of the eggs the Easter bunny had hidden.
There was so much excitement amongst the children this afternoon heading into the long Easter weekend.
On behalf of the Phoenix House teachers we hope you had a safe and happy Easter break xx
