Here comes Postie......

At the moment kids are learning about community helpers. Today we made postie's bag to enhance kids interest, and also we put some letters in it.  Kids also had an opportunity to deliver their letters.  They have learnt that if they have to deliver the letter they have to write the address on it. They have developed their learning on  how postie helps the community.Through this they have  developed their creativity in paper folded art.

 


   




  

 

 


Yoga-4-Us

Today kids enjoyed yoga moves at preschool. Last week all the staff members went for a workshop with Pennie Brownlee.  In that work shop she taught us some breathing techniques to make ourselves calm and relaxed while working with children. We thought why don't we do some breathing techniques with children, we made a  fun yoga video for kids.  I was  so surprised  that kids really loved it, they watched a video and followed the steps performed by the person in the video, such as balancing, breathing and relaxing exercises. It was such a great fun.

Spring is just around the corner so its time to get busy in the garden!! Last week our little Phoenix house gardeners did a fabulous job of planting flowers in our new flower pots..it was all hands on deck as we chose which flowers would look best in each of the pots and everyone got a chance to dig, plant and water our flowers...Our little garden looks beautiful and we cant wait to see our strawberries start to grow from our vertical planters in summer time.

Sunny Afternoons

I Scream, You scream, We all scream for Ice-cream!!!

Last week we had some beautiful sunny weather and on wednesday we decided to have a yummy afternoon treat. We set up our mat outside and after we ate our fruit, Bex made us up some ice-cream cones. The children could choose between creamy vanilla or sweet candy floss...we topped them off with sprinkles and jelly bean, Delisshhh!
