Sprinkler fun!

It was sooooo hot today so we decided to get out the sprinkler and have some water fun! We loved jumping through the water and cooling off! Have a look at how much fun we had :) 

Santa Sack Races!!

We have had some very fun and Christmasy mat times during this festive season...at the beginning of the week Deanne brought in some jumping sacks for sack races and our Phoenix House Children had a ball!!

Flying kite fun

As now a days the weather is very windy, so we thought this is very good weather to fly the kites.  Kids had great fun with easy and simple activity  as we used plastic bags with a string.  It was really fun and enjoyable activity as kites were flying very hard because of strong wind and children were holding the  string very tightly as they were afraid to loose their kites.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2014 tea towels!!

Our 2014 tea towels have arrived and they look awesome :) you can purchase one from Phoenix house, Kowhai house or at the office...$10 each 

Face painting fun

We often get the face paint out in Phoenix house and paint our children's beautiful faces but today we decided to let them paint each other....we were rather impressed with their efforts

KCC Kiwi Christmas Party 2014!!

What a great party!!  The children had such fun, we had face painting, bouncy castle, concert, sausage sizzle, slushies, lollies, a special visit from Santa and a show with Popcorn the Clown. What an eventful day!!!  The kids looked so cute all dressed up in their Christmas trees for the concert and we were super proud of their singing efforts, they did such a great job.  A big thank you to all the family and friends that joined us and made it such a special day.  We wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year xx

Decorating Christmas Trees

Over the past few weeks in Phoenix House we have been super busy decorating our classroom, setting up our Christmas tree, making amazing art for our walls and today while we were preparing for our Christmas Party we decided to decorate a few of our own trees. 

We had such fun with the concrete and chalk drawing decorations on our trees, colouring them in, drawing presents under neath and making them our own. 

It was so awesome to see the children engaged in art in a different form, often we do art in the classroom but seeing their creations outside was great.
