Guy Fawkes paintings

The Phoenix House children have been busy creating some bright and beautiful Fireworks paintings in celebration of Guy Fawkes this weekend.
We spoke about what we do with our families to celebrate Guy Fawkes and where we might go visit to view the fireworks displays.

We have had a great day dressing up and playing a number of games and engaging in spooky activities :)

Meet Cupcake!

This week we have welcomed a brand new Guinea pig to our farm which the children have named Cupcake! The Phoenix House children have made her feel more than welcome in her new home and environment :)

Fathers Day

We hope all the lovely Dad's had a wonderful Father's Day with their families last weekend. The Phoenix House children were busy all week creating hand made presents for their awesome Daddy's to show them just how much they love them :)

Daffodil Day

On Friday the 26th August the children of K.C.C dressed in yellow for Daffodil Day to support are raise awareness for the Cancer Society.

We managed to raise a total of $105.00 as a centre to help find a cure.

We took part in a range of yellow themed activities throughout the day and created some beautiful Daffodil collage art pieces which are displayed in the bag room.

Balloon Tennis

Although it was cold and rainy outside it did not stop our Phoenix House Olympics Balloon Tennis from going ahead as we held it indoors.

The children paired up and took turns hitting the balloon from one side of the court to the other. They conveyed  great technique, skill, persistence as well as turn taking and sportsmanship with their fellow competitors.

This sporting event was popular amongst all the children and it was great to see everyone having a turn and participating alongside their peers.

We had so much fun and we look forward to more upcoming sporting events over the next following weeks :)

Meet Billy

This week we have a new addition to our farm - a gorgeous little Guinea pig named Billy :) The Phoenix House children have loved meeting him and giving him lots of love and affection!
