Saying goodbye to our eggs!

For the past three weeks we waited in anticipation for our baby chicks to hatch.  Monday came (the birth date) and the children sang breakout, they did the chicken dance and whistled to them but sadly our baby chicks just did not hatch.  Today, we checked our eggs for any life and unfortunately they had passed and so we discussed with the children why our baby chicks did not fully grow.  We were all a little sad as we were so excited about the arrival of our new babies and adding to our farm.  We are keen to give it another go and will look for some new eggs to put in our incubator.

Creating our mini farms!

With all the excitement of our upcoming trip to Kiwi Valley Farm Park, we have been talking about all the things that what we might see and making our very own mini farms.  There was a lot of thought put in to these as we gathered all our farm animals, hay, dirt, grass, water and some food for our animals.  I wonder if Kiwi Valley is going to look like any of our farms?  We can't wait for Friday to see, just one more sleep!!
